Orders are received through an e-commerce web site and need to be shipped from a location in the US as well as a location in China. Both sample orders and customer orders must be processed. Packaging of the orders using an environmentally friendly solution is also a requirement.

Creative Services, Print & Assembly

Problem: Our customer received a rush order for educational kits for teachers to teach literacy to 3 – 6 year old students. The kit contains several different elements providing games for teachers to use focusing on 5 essential literacy elements. It consists of a full color corrugated box, holding 5 sections of self-contained game bags packed with a teacher instruction guide (96 pages), and various game pieces such as playing cards, magnetic playing pieces and game boards. The problem was that the original art was missing. In order to manufacture the product, all of the original art had to be re-created.

Solution A single source that can offer:

  • Creation of, proof and manufacture of this ready-to-use teacher’s kit in a very short period of time.
  • Re-engineering from an existing intact kit, recreation of print dies and scan art in order to provide proofs.
  • Re-typesetting of copy in order to produce clear crisp text.
  • Creation of the outer box, and most of the game parts re-building the kit from scratch.

Results: Complemar Print was able to assemble and ship 200 kits ahead of schedule for our customer.
