With the global job market looking as bleak as ever, we want to help you have the best chance to land your dream job. These three tips and tricks will make sure that you are a worthy candidate for an employer.

  1. Dress For Success

When going to a job interview, it is best to look dressed for the job you are going for, but being overdressed has never been a reason a person has not been hired. The best thing a guy could wear is a blue or black suit that is well pressed, a tie is optional, but again it has never hurt anybody. Adding a flash of color also is fun, so adding a colored dress shirt may make you stand out over your competition. For a female, they should wear a blouse and dress pants or a statement dress. Being well kept is a must when trying to land your dream job, so bringing a brush to an interview is never a bad idea. Just remember that when you dress good you feel good. What you wear can boost your confidence and make you seem like the best candidate for the job

       2. Research

After landing the interview, the real work begins. Before an interview, it is crucial that you look into the company and make sure that you can see what the company values are, if you think that you would be a good fit for the company culture and if you know who you are going to be interviewed by look into the person you are getting interviewed by. The best thing to do is look up the company on LinkedIn and other social media accounts to see what they are posing they are posting. Another thing that can make you get a feel for the company is their very own website. Most are usually full of information that will let you see into the company and its values

       3. Body Language

Body language is crucial during an interview. You have to seem calm and confident, so it is always best to control your nerves. Another way to show that you are confident and ready to take on any task that they ask for is how you sit. You want to make sure that you are sitting with good posture and leaning forward slightly, so you seem interested in what they are saying. A few things that you should never do is, cross your arms or sit lean back because that makes them think that you are not interested in what they are trying to tell you. One last thing that you should always remember to do is maintain eye contact. Doing this will make you seem very trustworthy and convey confidence.
